Detailed Itinerary : 05 Nights & 06 Days
Day 01: Arrive Gwalior & Local Sightseeing (Overnight in Gwalior)
Upon arrival at Gwalior Airport or Railway Station, you’ll be greeted and
transferred to your hotel. After check-in, begin your sightseeing with a visit to the
majestic Gwalior Fort, one of India’s most impressive hilltop forts. Explore Saas
Bahu Temples, Jai Vilas Palace, and Tomb of Tansen. In the evening, enjoy the
Light & Sound Show at the fort (optional). Overnight stay in Gwalior.
Day 02: Gwalior – Morena Excursion (Overnight in Gwalior)
After breakfast, enjoy a day excursion to Morena,
known for its hidden architectural gems. We start
our day to explore The Eco Ghariyal Center
(Ghariyal Breeding Center at Deori, Morena). Then
the intricate carvings of Mitawali Temple, and the
circular Padavali Temple, often compared to miniKhajuraho for its sculpture work. Then we will go to
visit Kakanmath Temple. Return to Gwalior by evening and relax at your hotel.

Day 03: Gwalior – Datia – Jhansi – Khajuraho (Overnight in Khajuraho)
Check out and begin your journey to Khajuraho, stopping en route at Datia to visit
the grand Bir Singh Palace. Continue to Jhansi for a brief visit to Jhansi Fort,
which echoes stories of Rani Lakshmibai. Post-lunch, proceed to Khajuraho
(approx. 6–7 hrs total journey). On arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind.

Day 04: Khajuraho Sightseeing (Overnight in Khajuraho)
Today, explore the UNESCO-listed Khajuraho Temples, famed for their intricate
erotic sculptures and Nagara-style architecture. Visit the Western Group of
Temples, including Kandariya Mahadev, Lakshmana, and Vishwanath Temples.
Later, see the Eastern Group, known for Jain temples. Later visit Raneh Falls and
enjoy the Light & Sound Show in the evening. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Day 05: Khajuraho to Orchha (Overnight in Orchha)
After breakfast, drive to Orchha (approx. 170 km / 4–5 hrs), a serene town by the
Betwa River known for its regal charm. On arrival, visit Orchha Fort Complex,
Jahangir Mahal, and Raj Mahal. Later, explore Chaturbhuj Temple, Ram Raja
Temple, and the Royal Cenotaphs (Chhatris) by the riverbank. Overnight stay in
Orchha.
Day 06: Orchha – Gwalior Departure
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Gwalior (approx. 120 km / 3 hrs) for
your departure. You’ll be dropped at Gwalior Airport or Railway Station, marking
the end of your memorable tour through the architectural and cultural wonders of
Madhya Pradesh.
