Day 1

INDORE-UJJAIN (55km – approx 1.25 hrs)

Upon arrival in Indore, you will be received by our representative and will be transferred to Ujjain (55 kms approx. / 1 hour). Ujjain is the one of the most pious of Hindu pilgrimages, the abode of Mahakaleshwar, which is the only south facing of the 12 jyotirling of Lord Shiv. Here Lord Shiv is not only the sitting deity, he is the residing and permanent King of the town. It is believed that Ujjain is the epicenter of the earth and Mahakaleshwar is the Lord of Time.

Among the places to visit, one should visit the Mahakallok (faceliftedMahakal temple premises), Chintaman Ganesh Temple,Harsiddhitemple – one of the 51 Shakti Pith,Gadhkalika Temple,KaalBhairav Temple, Mangalnath Temple, Sandipani Ashram and many other temples (time permitting). Overnight stay in Ujjain.

Optional: ShriMahakaleshwarBhasmAarti (starts at 4 AM and one needs to arrive at temple at 2 AM)

Day 2

UJJAIN – OMKARESHWAR – MAHESHWAR
Check out from the hotel and transfer to Omkareshwar (139 km, approx 4 hrs journey) the sacred island, is shaped like Om – the holiest symbol of Hinduism. It is adorned with lofty hills, between which the river Narmada forms a serene pool. Visit Omkareshwar Temple and Mamleshwartemple (separated by river Narmada) which are twin jyotirling, together forming, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas shrines in India. Admire its Brahminic and Indo-Nagara architectural styles of the 13th-century Siddhanath Temple.Visit the Newly inaugurated 108 ft Statue of AdiShankaracharya.

Post lunch, transfer to Maheshwar (70km, approx 2 hrs journey) and check in to your hotel. After fresh up, one can enjoy boating on the river Narmada (at own expense) and witness Narmada Arti which takes place every evening on the famous ghats built by Queen AhilyabaiHolkar. Overnight in Maheshwar

Day 3

MAHESHWAR – MANDU
Post breakfast; visit the temples and fort during the sightseeing tour. Holkar Fort is a renowned fortress, which is named after Rani AhilyabaiHolkar. Enjoy the scenic view of the city from the top of the fort. Some popular temples of the city are Pandrinath Temple and Jaleshwar Temple. Maheshwar is recognized for its huge production of Maheshwari Sarees. You can also buy unique and delicate cotton and silk-blend handloom saris. In the afternoon, transfer to Mandu (approx 41 km or 1 hour journey). The town is renowned for the love story of Roopmati and BazBahadur. The monuments, structures, and palaces depict the love story of these two legends. Check in at the hotel and fresh up. Visit JahazMahal, which has an appearance of a mighty ship. This awe-inspiring architecture is encompassed by ponds. Enjoy the serene beauty of the Palace. Evening back to the hotel.

Day 4

MANDU-INDORE
Post Breakfast, Hindola Mahal, which means Swinging Palace. This palace was believed to be constructed in 1425 under the reign of Hoshang Shah. Explore the exquisite beauty of BazBahadur’s Palace, which is a perfect blend of Islamic architectural style along with the Rajasthani designs. Lastly, visit Rewa Kund to enjoy the timeless beauty of this reservoir where Roopmati came every day to worship.

Post Lunch Transfer to Indore (Approx 90kms / 2.5 hours). Visit Rajwada Palace and Kaanch Mandir, Enjoy the grandeur of the Palace along with Street Shopping (If time permits) . Enjoy the delicacies in 56 Dukaan (active street food scene and variety of shops). Transfer to Railway station/Airport.
