Khajuraho

Khajuraho is world-famous for its group of medieval temples, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Chandela rulers between the 9th and 12th centuries, these temples are celebrated for their intricate carvings depicting spirituality, daily life, and human emotions. The Western Group of Temples, especially the Kandariya Mahadev Temple, is the most visited for its artistic brilliance. The Khajuraho Dance Festival, held every February, brings classical dance performances to this historical setting.

The best time to visit is from October to March.

Highlight: An architectural masterpiece showcasing the perfect harmony of art, faith, and human expression.
