Mandu

Mandu, also known as Mandavgarh, is a city of romance, legends, and Afghan architecture. Perched on a rocky plateau, it overlooks the Narmada valley and tells tales of love between Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati. The Jahaz Mahal (Ship Palace), with its reflection in twin lakes, defines Mandu’s charm. Other highlights include Hindola Mahal, Jami Masjid, and Baz Bahadur’s Palace, each representing the grandeur of medieval times.

Mandu is at its best from October to February, when the weather enhances its scenic ruins.

Highlight: A poetic fusion of love, history, and architectural brilliance nestled amid the Malwa hills.
