Arrival Bhopal- Sanchi (46 kms via Diwanganj and 72 kms via Raisen from Bhopal)- Bhopal Arrival at Bhopal (morning), Visit Tribal Museum. Post Lunch leave for Sanchi. Visit the Sanchi Stupa, enjoy Sound and light show in the evening. Return to Bhopal. Overnight stay at MPT Hotels. Tribal Museum: The Tribal Museum celebrates the lifestyle, folklore, social customs and rituals of the seven indigenous tribes of Madhya Pradesh – the Bhils, Gonds, Bharias, Korku, Sahariya, Baiga and Kol are displayed in the museum through a repository of traditional art and elegance. It celebrates the way of life of these seven major tribes of the state through their handlooms and craft. Subsequently, Archaeological Survey of India acquired a college building at the foot hill of Sanchi Stupa and got the exhibits shifted to the new building in the year 1966 and in the same year the museum was opened for the public. The museum comprises main hall and four galleries besides exhibits in the verandah and a few in open courtyards. Sanchi’s Buddha Jambudweep Park – The best place to learn about Buddhism, The park draws its inspiration from Buddhist philosophy and teachings of Buddha. It has pavilions inside the complex that imparts the audience about four noble truths of Buddhism i.e. Suffering (Dukh), Origin of suffering (Samudaya), Cessation of suffering (Nirodha), and Path to the cessation of suffering (Magga).
Bhopal- Pachmarhi (192 KMs) A Biosphere Post breakfast check out from hotel, and transfer to Pachmarhi en- route visit Bhimbetka and Bhojpur. Later transfer to Pachmarhi. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in the bungalows with colonial charm at Pachmarhi. Highlight: Bhojpur- (28 kms from Bhopal): Bhojpuris famous for its exquisite 11th century Shiva temple, Bhojeshwar, and the lake built by Raja Bhoja Paramara. The temple also houses an enormous 7.5ft. ‘Shivalingam’ carved out of a single stone. Bhimbetka: (46 kms from Bhopal) The Vindhya Mountain range is covered by huge rocks, and recent discoveries here of over 600 rock shelters (the largest group in the world) have revealed paintings that date back to the early Stone Age.
Pachmarhi Post breakfast check out from hotel full day sightseeing of Pachmarhi. Overnight stay at Pachmarhi. Pachmarhi is Madhya Pradesh’s most verdant gem. A lovely hill resort girdled by the Satpura ranges; it offers absolute tranquility. Bridle paths lead into placid forest groves of wild bamboo and jamun, dense sal forests and delicate bamboo thickets. Highlights: Bee fall: Imagine volumes of water plummeting from a height in the lap of a scenic jungle. Bee Falls is one of the popular places to visit in Pachmarhi and the moment you trek down the hundreds of steps and arrive at the fall, you can’t help but admire it in awe. Bison Museum: is the oldest building at Pachmarhi. Its well-maintained and the lodge houses models, graphs, maps, and pictures of Pachmahi’a rich flora, fauna, history and places of interest, the outside is adorned with a huge garden where you can sit and enjoy the serenity of this hill station. Stuffed animals like Crocodiles, Lions, and Tigers, etc. are also on display at this museum. Built in the year 1862, Bison Lodge is one of the oldest buildings in Pachmarhi, and used to be the former residence of Captain Forsyth. Dhoopghar: Sunset point is the highest peak of the Satpura hill range and the view from the top can leave you awestruck. From the spiritual surroundings to the top view of the meandering streams, the peak offers views of the lesser Satpura ranges and Vindhya range. The rough scarps along with ravines and clefts give this plateau a heavenly look and this peak is still lesserknown among the many Pachmarhi tourist places. The serene ecosystem and the Bee Fall are few of the main attractions here. Pandav Caves: A group of five-rock cut temples adorned with naturally grown gardens and roughly carved columns and pilasters is among the most sought-after Pachmarhi places to visit. These attractive caves are shrouded with a number of stories belonging to various eras and were lastly hewn by Buddhist monks who used these caves for meditation as the eco effect helped them a lot. It’s believed that Pandavas lived in these caves during their exile is the most common of all stories and hence, they got famous as Pandav Caves. Jata Shankar: The cave houses stone structures resembling Sheshnag- a snake with hundred heads mentioned in the Hindu mythology and it is believed that Lord Shiva hid himself from Mahisasur who is another Mythological character inside the cave. As you enter the cave you will witness a natural Shiva Lingam which is worshipped by devotees from around the country as it sits under the shadow of a huge rock. Jata Shankar Cave is one of those Pachmarhi tourist places which hold a unique experience for everyone.
Pachmarhi to Kanha (346 KMs/ 08 Hrs) Post breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Kanha. One of the finest tiger reserve of the country, the Kanha landscape has been renowned internationally for its rich flora and fauna, including, of course, the iconic tiger. While the Kanha Landscape is not notified/legally declared as such, evidently, it is named after the famous Kanha tiger reserve, part of the landscape. Jungle Safari at Kanha National Park The day is fixed to enjoy both morning and evening safari ride in the Kanha National Park. We will start our day a bit early today to proceed for morning jungle safari in Kanha. Thereafter, we will return back to the lodge for lunch and rest for some time before heading back to the park again for the evening safari. Kanha – Jabalpur (131 KMs/ 3.5 Hrs) Post breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Bhedaghat. It is a mesmerising experience to witness the marble rocks adjoining the graceful Narmada River in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur. These soaring white rocks, are known to magically change shapes as you sail along the river. Later in evening (07:00 PM) attend Narmada arti at Gwari Ghat at Jabalpur. Dhuandhar falls: The tranquil Narmada flows through high marble rocks and at a short distance, sited the remarkable spectacle of nature, Dhuandhar falls. The waterfall has been named so because of the smoky appearance of the water falling off the cliff with utmost force. Chaunsath Yogini Temple: It is a temple at Bhedaghat is sacred site built in 10th century dedicated to 64 Yogini’s or female deities associated with tantra and worshiped for their supernatural powers. Narmada Arti: River Narmada is lifeline to Madhya Pradesh, and has its cultural significance in Hindu mythology. The evening Aarti at Gwarighat of the Narmada River starts sharply at 19.00 Hrs(IST) and is a treat to watch for its spiritual experience.
